It was great to add to our Gap Kenya staff the lovely Grace who took on the role of Supervisor at the Joseph Centre.
Grace is a qualified teacher who has also previously worked as a peer counsellor for the Fiya Muslim Youth Project here in Mombasa.
Her role at the Joseph Centre will entail ensuring the project runs well and helping out in the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills to the mothers. She will also liaise with the local school who now have 40 children from our centre in attendance, alongside overseeing the creche and pre-school teaching undertaken in the centre.
