“P”

Finding Safety and a New Beginning

P3

“P” is 8 years old and was living on the streets of Mombasa, often left to fend for himself from a very young age.

After experiencing serious harm while on the streets, he came into contact with Gap Kenya through the Stepping Stones Centre. He was immediately supported with medical care and protection, and appropriate action was taken to ensure his safety.

“P” was then welcomed into one of our foster homes, where he is now safe, cared for, and part of a stable family environment.

For the first time, he has begun attending school. He is enjoying learning, building friendships, and starting to catch up educationally with the support of additional tuition.

Today, “P” is happy, settled, and able to enjoy being a child again. He remains in contact with his mother and siblings, visiting them during school holidays, and they are reassured to see him safe and thriving.
