Every child seen, valued and loved — with the opportunity to discover what their future could hold.
More Than Numbers
Every child who comes to Gap Kenya has a different story, different needs and different hopes for the future. Our impact isn't measured simply by how many children we reach, but by the changes we see in their lives — greater safety and stability, access to education, growing confidence and, for many, the opportunity to become independent young adults.
25–30

43

2

And the journey continues...
Young people supported by Gap Kenya have progressed through primary and secondary school to college, university, employment and independent living.
How Change Happens
Reaching Children Where They Are
Through Stepping Stones and the Joseph Centre, we build relationships with children living on the streets and around the Mwakirunge garbage dump, meeting immediate needs while creating opportunities for something different.
Building Safety and Stability
Consistent care, trusted relationships, structure and, where appropriate, family-based foster care give children greater security and a sense of belonging.
Opening Doors to Education
From first learning to read and write to primary school, secondary school, college and university, education is central to helping children discover what they are capable of achieving.
Supporting the Journey to Independence
Our involvement doesn't necessarily end at 18. We support young people as they move towards further education, employment and independent adult lives.
