Mungu Anaweza is a project designed to rescue, nurture and restore survivors enabling them to become valuable and integral parts of their communities.
Each survivor is treated as an individual with their own special gifts and qualities and encouraged to be the best they can be.
They have been looked down on by local communities and are called ‘vermin’ in some societies. Some survivors have resorted to violence and stealing in order to survive. Many survivors use drugs, and glue sniffing is extremely common amongst all ages. They generally believe themselves to be worthless because they are seen as worthless.
Rescuing, nurturing and restoring these people is not an easy task but it is not impossible. Take a look at some of the survivors stories – Lives can be changed!
