In 2011, Paul and Gayle Woods were on holiday in Mombasa, Kenya.

It was there that they came across children lying asleep on the busy pavements in the city centre, children with nowhere to live, nowhere to go, hungry and with no hope.

From that moment, they decided that someone needed to do something to help these children.

“God spoke to us when we saw these children, and reminded us of His words in Jeremiah 29:11

” For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV) “

We believe that He has a plan for each and every child and survivor, and the lives they are currently living is not His plan!”

It is not only children who live like this – teenagers, young adults and older people all live on the streets and on the rubbish dumps. And we are willing to help anyone, irrespective of their age, gender or religion. We call these people ‘survivors’ because this is the term they use for themselves

Paul and Gayle Woods are from the UK and attend Revival Church in Stalybridge, Cheshire.
